The 36 Express, designed by Michael Peters, is built on a solid fiberglass hull bottom. When powered by CAT C9's @ 575 hp, it performs well with a 29,500 lb displacement to provide a cruise speed of 28 knots (2000 RPM) consuming 33 GPH, and tops out at 35 knots. At 36' in length and 14'2" beam, she is quite spacious. Especially when compared to a similar size outboard, the CABO 36 Express is more fuel efficient and is more easily fished.
The helm deck offers twin forward facing bench-seats, with entry to lower accommodations on centerline. This model provides ultimate flexibility, with the port helm seat pivoting for forward or aft facing seating, providing a comfortable ride out or watching the baits. When the backrest is pushed forward, the port side seating becomes an L-lounge with a hidden table concealed beneath the bench seat providing a great place to dine on deck. Directly aft of the helm station is a convenient storage compartment. For easy access to the engine compartment, you'll find a hatch on the helm deck. And for full access to the engine compartment, the entire helm deck hydraulically lifts.
In the cockpit, you will find fishing amenities to include a bait prep center with sink and tackle storage, 40-gallon transom bait tank with LED lighting, courtesy cockpit lighting, twin in-sole fish boxes with macerator, dedicated rod and gaff storage, gunwale padding, four rod holders, and fresh and saltwater washdown.
Below decks, you'll find teak cabinetry with a satin finish, double berths as well as good storage both above and below, a fully equipped galley and an L-lounge that converts to over/under berths for additional sleeping accommodations.
