The Viking 52 SC utilizes the renown 52 Convertible hull, a robust, proven entity, its well-thought out cockpit and professionally engineered engine room.
The all-weather, air-conditioned deckhouse is reminiscent of a Viking Convertible salon with gorgeous teak joinery throughout, an L-shaped lounge, hi-lo teak table and a surround sound entertainment system including a Bose LS 18 FM stereo and 20-inch flat screen television. A pair of pedestal helm seats at the forward control station provides excellent visibility and comfort for long-range cruising. Below, the in-line galley to starboard is outfitted with major appliances, including under-counter refrigeration, an electric cooktop, a microwave, plus plenty of stowage. The port stateroom features side-by-side berths with a walk-around double berth in the forward stateroom. Each stateroom has a private head and fiberglass shower stall.
The standard equipment list on these models is exhaustive and includes a 21.5kW genset, a 148 square-foot cockpit with Viking's signature mezzanine deck, a laundry center, electronic engine controls, Delta-T engine ventilation system and Viking's powder-coated web-frame structural steel engine beds to minimize noise and vibration and ensure drive-train alignment. MAN fuel efficient common rail diesels provide cruise speeds in the mid-30 knot range and top speeds approaching 40 knots depending upon load, sea conditions and other factors.
