It is especially those owners who would like to compete with others in regattas who find the CRUISER 41S the right yacht to put them out there with the front runners without having to compromise on comfort. A taller mast and a slightly deeper keel distinguish the outward appearance of the CRUISER 41S from that of her sister, the CRUISER 41.
Three cabins that can accommodate six people, a generous galley, a spacious saloon – on a CRUISER 41S you don't have to give up anything.
Like all the yachts from BAVARIA-Yachtbau, the CRUISER 41S was designed by Farr Yacht Design (USA), a company that has been renowned for designing fast racing and cruising yachts for decades. The Farr Yacht Design team has engineered 15 winning Americas Cup yachts and provided the design for the new VOR-65 yachts of the upcoming Volvo Ocean Race, an event that circumvents the globe in 40,000 miles. The attractive interior design and fittings of the CRUISER 41S is the work of the architects from Design Unlimited UK and the BAVARIA product managers.
Performance
The "S" in CRUISER 41S stands for "sport". Her hull and interior match that of her sister, the CRUISER 41, but a slightly deeper keel, a taller mast and many standard features – from a carbon spinnaker boom to ball-bearing race blocks and regatta rigging by Dyneema – give the 41S even better sailing performance. She has the required angle to the wind and boat speed that will have you sailing with the front runners at regattas and championships – all this without sacrificing comfort below deck. A pre-balanced profiled rudder and two composite steering wheels keep the CRUISER 41S exactly on course, while it gives her the ability to react quickly at the starting line and during manoeuvres.
Race
In order for the crew to work at their optimum during regattas, the CRUISER 41S comes standard with everything you need to sail like the wind. Optimum trimming of the sails on all courses and in all conditions is a breeze with her upwardly tapered performance rigging from Seldén, racing main boom, ball-bearing mainsheet traveller and leash adjustable genoa block positions. And now no fewer than six Lewmar 2-speed aluminium winches for the mainsail and the head sail as well as for the halyards. The Garmin electronic devices for controlling boat speed, angle to the wind, wind speed and all relevant data are placed adjacent to the companionway in the best possible positions to be at hand for the trimmer and the helmsman.
Cruising
On days when there are no plans to sail a regatta, owner and crew do not have to forego anything that they would normally find on any other BAVARIA yacht from the CRUISER line. The saloon with its large table and seating area, the galley with a 2-burner gas stove and oven, a fridge with compressor and plenty of storage space make for a comfortable living area. With a main cabin and two guest cabins for the crew, the CRUISER 41S is the perfect yacht for both short and long trips.
